ASUENE Inc. announced that ASUENE, a carbon accounting cloud service for GHG measurement, reduction, and reporting, and ASUENE SUPPLY CHAIN (formerly ASUENE ESG), a cloud service that centralizes all supplier surveys, recently completed its SOC 2 Type 1 examination on October 17, 2025.
This examination assesses the effectiveness of internal controls related to security and privacy protection in accordance with international standards. With this achievement, companies using ASUENE’s services can be assured that their ESG data and customer information are managed in line with globally recognized security standards. The SOC 2 Type 1 report also helps streamline both internal and external audit processes, particularly around internal control evaluations.

About SOC 2
AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) established the SOC 2 (System and Organization Controls 2) framework to evaluate service organizations’ internal controls across five key trust service criteria: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
The SOC 2 Type 1 report that ASUENE completed verifies, through an independent third party, that the company’s procedures and system design were appropriately implemented as of a specific point in time. This also confirms that ASUENE’s zero-trust security infrastructure and incident response framework meet international standards.

Background for Conducting the SOC 2 Type 1 Examination
ASUENE’s suite of services has been adopted by over 30,000 companies worldwide, supporting their decarbonization and ESG management efforts. For many listed and multinational corporations, robust data security and privacy management are increasingly critical not only in financial domains but also across non-financial operations.
Building on its SOC 1 Type 1 examination completed in December 2024, ASUENE has now successfully completed the SOC 2 Type 1 examination. This achievement demonstrates that ASUENE’s internal controls extend beyond financial reporting to encompass internationally assured standards for security and privacy protection, further strengthening the trust placed in its platforms.
