Background: Multilingual Expansion of “ASUENE LCA”
Today,companies must track and disclose GHG emissions across their entire supply chain with full transparency. This is especially urgent in the EU, where CBAM entered full implementation in January 2026. Companies importing steel, aluminum, and cement into the EU are now required to report manufacturing related GHG emissions and purchase CBAM certificates to cover the associated carbon price.
As these regulations tighten, businesses must determine their PCF (Product Carbon Footprint) and submit verified, reliable data. Achieving this requires a robust system for collecting primary data from both internal global sites and external international suppliers to conduct accurate LCAs.
Until now, language barriers have been a major bottleneck, leading to missing data, entry errors, and increased administrative costs. Furthermore, there is a growing demand from global enterprises for suppliers to establish their own emission disclosure systems. This is particularly true in sectors like electronics, chemicals, consumer goods, and logistics, where tracking and disclosing Scope 3 (supply chain) emissions is increasingly mandatory.

In addition to Japanese and English, “ASUENE LCA” now supports 11 languages, including Chinese, Thai, French, and German. This update is tailored for manufacturing hubs in Asia and companies managing reporting requirements for the European market under CBAM.
By allowing overseas sites and suppliers to input data in their native languages, we ensure higher data accuracy and reduce the labor. Furthermore, “ASUENE LCA” supports data management designed for third-party verification, assisting companies in meeting international disclosure requests and specific requirements from business partners.
