ASUENE Inc. today announced that ASUENE EUROPE Holdings Ltd., which oversees its European business, has completed a third-party allotment of new shares to the Fund Corporation for the Overseas Development of ICT and Postal Services Inc. (JICT). With this investment, JICT now holds 49% of ASUENE EUROPE Holdings Ltd.
Under this joint ownership ASUENE will speed up its growth in Europe and the United States. Secaro, which joined the ASUENE Group in July 2026, links more than 8,000 manufacturers in over 90 countries.
Nozomu Kawasaki, Senior Director at JICT, has also been appointed as an outside director of ASUENE EUROPE Holdings Ltd. and of 2degrees Ltd., operating Secaro.

Strengthening Our Business Through Joint Investment With JICT

In July 2026, ASUENE acquired all outstanding shares of 2degrees Ltd. providing Secaro, a platform for measuring supply chain GHG emissions. Secaro works with global companies including Toyota, Honda, and AstraZeneca.
Through this joint investment, ASUENE will draw on JICT’s experience supporting overseas business and on its government-to-government network. This will help ASUENE track regulatory developments in Europe and build local networks there.
ASUENE will also offer NZero and other services to Secaro’s customers and will expand its business through Secaro’s established presence in Europe and the U.S.
Comment from Founder and CEO Kohei Nishiwada, ASUENE Inc.
Our first joint investment with JICT was in NZero in the U.S. We’re very encouraged to partner with JICT again on a second one.
Secaro joined our group in July 2026. Its supply chain network of more than 8,000 manufacturers in over 90 countries is a key foundation as we expand in Europe and the U.S. Through this joint investment, we’ll strengthen our business base in Europe further. We’ll also move faster to deliver new value by combining Secaro with ASUENE Group products.
ASUENE will connect the business we’ve built in Japan and Asia with Secaro’s network in Europe and the U.S. to help global manufacturers decarbonize their supply chains. With JICT’s partnership behind us, we’ll keep growing worldwide as an AI sustainability company from Japan, with the goal of leading the industry globally.
Comment from Nozomu Kawasaki, Outside Director, JICT
Our first deal with ASUENE was its acquisition of NZero, the company’s first overseas M&A. We’re honored to support ASUENE again to expand its presence in Europe and the U.S. further.
ASUENE is a fast-growing company that provides decarbonization solutions worldwide. We expect this deal to strengthen its customer base, especially in manufacturing, and its supplier network, and to drive further growth in its overseas business. As a non-executive director, I’ll help deepen the partnership between the ASUENE Group and JICT, and support the company’s global expansion.
JICT will keep backing Japanese companies expand overseas in the telecommunications, broadcasting, and postal sectors through a wide range of investments.
