Background
In July 2026, ASUENE raised $87 Million in its Series D funding round, led by Decarbonization Partners, a joint venture between BlackRock and Temasek. The investment marked the first time that Decarbonization Partners had invested in a Japanese startup.
Corporate decarbonization efforts are moving from emissions measurement and disclosure toward implementation, including emissions reductions across supply chains and the optimization of energy use. At the same time, the investment landscape for decarbonization and energy continues to evolve in response to changes in government policies, market conditions, and technological developments worldwide.
