ASUENE was awarded “strong functionality” ratings by an independent researcher across three areas in its latest report: supply chain emissions calculation and data quality control, product carbon footprint calculation and methodology. The ratings were awarded as part of the firm’s latest assessment of supply chain and product carbon management software providers.
ASUENE Inc. has been named among the 14 software providers helping organisations manage supply chain emissions and product carbon footprints, within the Smart Innovators: Supply Chain and Product Carbon Management report published by Verdantix, an independent UK research firm specialising in sustainability. Verdantix narrowed a pool of over 200 software providers in related fields based on company size and product capabilities, making ASUENE, one of Asia’s fastest growing AI sustainability integrated companies, the only company headquartered in Asia among the 14 vendors assessed.
The report assesses eight capability areas across supply chain emissions management and product carbon footprint (PCF) calculation, an increasingly urgent priority for companies in Europe and North America. Regulations such as the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and product sustainability requirements push firms to disclose more granular, supplier- and product-level carbon data. Organisations continue to struggle with data quality, supplier engagement and emissions calculations across complex global supply chains.
Against this backdrop ASUENE received a “strong functionality” rating in three key capability areas which help organisations calculate Scope 3 emissions, produce product carbon footprints required for procurement decisions and regulatory compliance.
The report assessed ASUENE’s portfolio of products, including ASUENE, ASUENE SUPPLY CHAIN and ASUENE LCA, and specifically recognised the company for its functionality that helps companies identify errors across supply chains.
The report also states that ASUENE’s acquisition of Secaro in July 2026 added supplier engagement and sustainability data collection capabilities while strengthening ASUENE’s product-level carbon management and life cycle assessment (LCA) capabilities.
Supply chain and product-level emissions calculations rely on some of the same underlying data, yet collecting data from suppliers and ensuring its quality remain major challenges for companies across these markets. According to research cited in the report, approximately one-quarter of companies rely on spreadsheets, such as Excel, to manage emissions or calculate PCFs, underscoring the scale of the data challenge as buyers in Europe and the US increasingly require supplier- and product-level carbon data from vendors.
